Every group or channel suggested to JoinActiveGroup passes through two layers of protection. First, an automatic safety filter checks the name, description and tags for words linked to banned topics. Submissions that look doubtful are held privately and never appear until a member of our team has reviewed them. Second, our team reviews listings on the website, and when we review a group we check that:
- The invite link works and leads to a real WhatsApp group or channel.
- The topic is useful and allowed under our Group Guidelines.
- The group name, picture and description are appropriate for a general audience.
- The group is placed in the correct category.
We reject groups that involve adult or dating content, gambling or betting, hacking or account cracking, pirated movies, books or software, fake jobs, money-doubling or investment schemes, hate speech, violence, or anything illegal. Visitors can press the Report link button on any group page at any time, and reported groups are reviewed again. Groups that break our rules are removed.
Because group admins can change a group after we review it, no directory can guarantee a group forever. Our review is a careful first filter, and community reports help us keep the directory clean.
